

The first time I used a utility within Windows 10 to reinstall the OS but keep my old files. I have tried different ethernet cables (and different ports on the router).I have tried another computer on the same cable - it works fine.

I believe there has to be a hardware issue.Īttempts at Diagnosing / Fixing the Problemįirst of all, my exact network setup runs perfectly fine when I plug the same ethernet cable into mac laptop (using a usb-c to ethernet converter). I did not do a fresh install (I have since). When I built my pc, I simply used my ssd that was running Windows 10 on my old computer. The upload is usually completely fine at 5+ mbps even when the download speed is less than 2 mbps. Sometimes it is slower (7 mbps, 2-3 mbps, or even 1 or lower). Usually, when I run a speed test, it will get up to 9.xx mbps and stay there.

I would greatly appreciate any help or advice. I've tried everything I can think of to diagnose / fix the problem and I'm at my wits end.
